Appliance Installations
Installed to Manufacturer Specifications | Old Appliance Removed | Five Capital Cities
A new oven, cooktop, rangehood or dishwasher is only as good as the way it goes in. Get the cut-out, the clearances or the connections wrong and a brand-new appliance can overheat, leak, trip a circuit, or run with its manufacturer’s warranty compromised from day one. We install it properly the first time.

Your New Appliance, Installed Properly
National Appliance Repairs has been working inside Australian kitchens since 2009. Most of that work is repairs, and it gives us an unusual view of installation: we see what goes wrong when an appliance is fitted badly, months or years after the installer has left.
Ovens cooking unevenly because they were boxed in without ventilation. Dishwashers that never drained because the waste spigot was never opened. Induction cooktops shutting down because an oven was fitted too close underneath. Those are installation faults that look like breakdowns, and we would rather prevent them than repair them later.
What matters to us:
- Every appliance installed to the manufacturer’s installation instructions, which is what protects your warranty
- Gas and hardwired electrical connections carried out by appropriately licensed trades, with compliance certificates
- Clear pricing agreed before any work starts
- Your old appliance taken away, so you are not left with it in the driveway

How It Works
Our Installation Process
Book your installation
Call 1300 434 380 or enquire online. Our live team answers in about 30 seconds. Tell us what you are installing, the model number if you have it, and what it is replacing.
Check the site
Before anything is fitted, we check what the new appliance needs against what is already there: the cabinet cut-out, clearances, the electrical supply, the gas type and connection, and the water and drainage. Most installation problems are decided at this step.
Agree the price
You get a clear quote covering the installation and anything the site needs to accept the new appliance. Nothing proceeds without your approval.
Install and connect
The appliance is fitted and levelled to the manufacturer’s specifications. Gas and hardwired electrical connections are made by appropriately licensed trades and certified.
Test, hand over and remove the old one
We test the appliance, walk you through it, hand over your compliance documentation, and take the old appliance away.

Client Testimonials
Thousands of Australian families trust National Appliance Repairs. Here's why.
Households and property managers across five capitals trust National Appliance Repairs with their kitchens. Here is what they say.
Ovens boxed in without ventilation
Built-in ovens need the clearances and airflow set out in their installation instructions. Squeeze one into a cavity that is too tight and it runs hot, cooks unevenly, and cooks its own electronics over time.
Dishwashers that were never able to drain
On new builds and renovations, the knockout on the sink waste spigot sometimes never gets punched through. The dishwasher cannot drain from its first cycle, and the fault often gets blamed on the machine.
Dishwashers that are not level
An integrated dishwasher that sits out of level will not seal properly at the door. The result is leaks, water in the base tray, and flood protection shutting the machine down.
Induction cooktops that keep shutting off
Induction electronics need airflow underneath. Fit one directly over an oven or a packed drawer without the specified gap and it will overheat and shut zones down in the middle of cooking.
Rangehoods at the wrong height
Too high and the rangehood cannot capture steam and grease. Too low over a gas cooktop and it breaches the minimum clearance, which is a fire and compliance issue.
Gas cooktops set up for the wrong gas
Cooktops must be configured for the gas supply they run on, natural gas or LPG. A mismatch produces poor flames, sooting and incomplete combustion.

Our Services
Brands We Install
We install appliances from the major brands found in Australian kitchens, following each manufacturer’s installation requirements — including Bosch, Miele, Smeg, Fisher & Paykel, Chef, Samsung and LG. Not sure about your brand? Get in touch with the make and model number.
Our Services
Installations We Offer
Rangehoods, integrated dishwashers, built-in ovens and gas cooktops — each installed to the manufacturer’s requirements, connected by appropriately licensed trades, and tested before we leave.
Rangehood Installation
Canopy, undermount, integrated and island rangehoods. Mounted at the correct height above the cooktop, connected, and set up for ducted or recirculating extraction to suit your kitchen. Over a gas cooktop, the height has to meet the minimum clearance as well as the manufacturer’s recommendation.
Integrated Dishwasher Installation
Fully integrated and semi-integrated dishwashers fitted into your cabinetry. Cut-out checked, machine levelled, door panel aligned so it opens and seals properly, water supply and drain connected, and the waste spigot confirmed open before the first cycle.
Oven & Built-In Installation
Wall ovens, under-bench ovens, double ovens, steam ovens and compact ovens. Fitted to the cabinet cut-out with the ventilation clearances the manufacturer specifies. Built-in ovens are usually hardwired on a dedicated circuit, which is licensed electrical work and comes with a certificate.
Gas Cooktop Installation
Gas cooktops installed, configured for your gas type, and connected in line with AS/NZS 5601. Gas connection is licensed work in every Australian state and territory, and it must be leak-tested and certified before the cooktop is used.
FAQS
Appliance Installation Questions
Do you take away my old appliance?
Yes. When we install a replacement, we remove the old appliance so you are not left to dispose of it yourself.
Does gas cooktop installation need a licensed gasfitter?
Yes. Connecting a gas appliance is licensed work across Australia and must meet AS/NZS 5601. Every gas installation, replacement or modification should come with a compliance certificate. Do not let anyone connect a gas cooktop without one.
Does a built-in oven need an electrician?
Usually, yes. Most built-in ovens are hardwired on their own circuit and cannot simply plug into a standard power point. Hardwired connections are licensed electrical work under AS/NZS 3000 and should come with a certificate.
What paperwork should I get after installation?
For gas work, a gas compliance certificate. For hardwired electrical work, a certificate of electrical safety or your state’s equivalent. Keep both with the appliance’s manual and receipt. They matter for warranty claims, insurance and selling the property.
Can installation affect my manufacturer’s warranty?
It can. Manufacturers set out installation requirements for clearances, ventilation and connections. An appliance installed outside those requirements may not be covered if a fault is traced back to how it was fitted.
What should I check before buying a built-in appliance?
Measure the existing cut-out and compare it with the new appliance’s specifications. Check whether it runs on gas or electricity, and for gas, whether your supply is natural gas or LPG. If you are unsure, send us the model number before you buy.
What is involved in switching from gas to induction?
Two trades. The gas supply has to be disconnected and capped by a licensed gasfitter, and an induction cooktop needs a suitable dedicated electrical circuit installed by a licensed electrician. Your switchboard capacity also needs checking.
What areas do you cover?
Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth, with in-house technicians in metro areas supported by trusted regional partners. Check your nearest location or call us with your postcode.
